A poem dedicated to someone who will never read

Why can't I stop my tears falling down
when I recollect memories you had left?

The time we spent together was so precious.
You were the reason for my 'Joy'

You understood me the way no one else did.
You knew all my likes and dislikes.

You understood my silence.
You read my heart.

You protected me from all evil.
You made me feel complete.

I was pampered by you just like a kid.
You always offered support, whenever I needed it.

I miss those days,
When we both played cards during the tea time.

I miss those days,
When we both played pranks on Grandpa.

When you bought new bangles for me,
I jumped with joy, made them tinkle.

When I went to school,
You were standing near the gate,
And always waved me "Bye!!"

The day you've left me forever...
I realized what you mean to me..

From that day,

I missed those Byes when I looked across the gate.

I never played the way I played with you.

I was the girl who was mischievous and naughty

Now I turned silent and mute...

Your gifted bangles were broken...

I was the girl who just hated tears..

Now I forgot how to smile :'(

Loneliness became my best friend.

Nevertheless, still,

Your memories are my fuel to get on with my life...
I'll miss you....I'll miss you forever.
