Caged old parrot freed
at its last stage of life; It
feels no joy
feels no joy, Poor bird!
though its anticipated
freedom arrived!
freedom arrived
What for? Its wings went numb!
Can it fly now!??

excellent
Poignant! It inexplicably reminds me of last episode of Crime Patrol :)
marvelous, joy has to be endured when its time indeed :) terrific haiku :)
Hmm.. Poignant.. but maybe it should try harder, atleast to fly one last time.. :)
Poor parrot ~ sad but true with humans also ~ well crafted haiku ~ ^_^
It's a real pity when freedom is no freedom at all. Great thoughts Valli!
Hank
that is soooooooo....sad
valued benevolence haiku
Very sad.. i hate caging birds... a bird has always been a symbol of freedom.. birds and cages never go together!
True Valli! This is like justice delayed is justice denied:)
full of emotions and I have felt it once when freedom is snatched from your own home and caged for a long time..weak but still surviving..nicely written Valli ;)
deep thought Valli,. Could easily feel the pain of parrot,.
Is this how we will feel when we get old?
Thoughtful Valli.
This is a bit sad ..I am sure you meant it on a much broader canvas of humanity..parrot is just a symbol..your message is loud and clear.. made me flutter my wings to see if strength is left.. Thanks Valli..
Very nice :) I think i will try penning poems in haiku format too!
