An ode to glass bangles

Molten glass
fused to a circle
Comes in many colours -
red,green, orange or purple

Some come as a dozen,
some as pair
These circled rainbows
shine in every village fair

Some are translucent,
some opaque
I've got a good options
for the choice to make

They add color
to my bare wrist
And twinkle a little,
like the morning mist

A silent witness
to my daily chores
A non-living friend
who listens my mumbling woes

Adding melody
to my moving hands
They make my
appearance feel grand

Their tinkles
are so therapeutic
They make me
feel romantic

A tool to call out
my husband without my voice
Oh! they make such a
gentle breezy noise

An object of play
For my lovely son
Along with his toys-
his teddy and his gun

They bring back memories
of my late grandmother
All those lovely moments
of wearing them together

They add little joy
to my mundane life
A perfect gift
for your daughter or wife!
