Bittersweet breakup

Love between bird and fish

Like the sky and the sea we both are different, irrespective of that we admire each other, love each other but, we are not meant for each other. I am not what you expected me to be. You are not what I expected you to be. So, please don’t mould me the way you like me and don't let me mould you the way I like you. Let us accept each other, just like the way we accepted ourselves. Sadly, that wasn’t possible....

It is better to remember a person as bittersweet memory by letting them go than poisoning the relationship by making them stay as harsh reality you cannot accept. Let us not seize the freedom to be ourselves by compromising to be in the relationship that makes neither of us happy. One cannot ask a swimming fish to fly nor a flying bird to swim. So, Let us part our ways. Let the distance between us be like the horizon, the only bond that ties us together. Let us love each other in thoughts and marry each other in dreams.

A relationship is fruitful when there is balance between compromise and acceptance.

P.s. Thoughts derived from fiction not through experience.

Marry in Dreams ....love eachother in thoughts ..?
if love is then the flying bird and the swimming fish will meet right on the confluence of water and air and continue their saga of love .....
After all, practically speaking,no matter what we say....about how much we live life on our terms and love doing so .. at the end we all make adjustments and we all compromise ... with people .. if not people ... with the surroundings ... and surely with the fact that we all have to die ..
Who wants to ?? But you adjust dont u ??Relationships grow only when we just think about the ones we love ...without expectations ... and then we get to see the obvious response and changes ... :) Just shared my thoughts on the matter we call BREAK UP

@Mysay

I totally agree to what you've said. Adjustments are a part of any relationship. But, at the end of the day, those adjustments should bring happiness to the relationship.

If a fish compromises and tries to fly to make the bird happy it dies every second for not being itself. The same thing applies to the bird also. The bird can't compromise to swim. Its true nature is to fly....

Loving and accepting the other person without any expectations is ideal solution but it isn't that easy to implement in reality. But, one can surely make the expectations lesser.

Relationships are fruitful when there is a balance between compromising and accepting.

If they compromise all their life, They may live together in relationship but die every second for not being themselves. Then, what is the purpose of such kind of unhealthy relationship??

My post may not be applicable to every kind of relationship...May be to a very complex type of relationship involving two very different people.

P.s. I love your comments for they make me explore more on the subject :)

I like how in the end you have put that the thoughts are inspired by fiction. I wish Sri, people realized things at the right time and parted on a good note.

Nice one. If some relationships are to stay, they can stay in any occasions. If its not meant to be, then it can never be.
